Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of M.N. Muraviev’s translation of ode «To Taliarch» (I, 9) by Goratsy. The primary source and translation are compared in lexico-semantic, syntactic and emotional plans. The advantages of translation expressed in its affinity on semantics and mood to product of the antique poet are specified. Also in article M.N. Muraviev’s contribution to development Goratsy’s principle of the phi-losophy in the Russian Literature is marked. M.N. Muraviev’s experience appeared to be fruitful for the poet and for all Russian literature of XIX centuries.
