Abstract: Development of activity approach to language units description results in springing up of new research methods: frame-propositional analysis applied to a family of cognate words, suggested by M.A. Osadchiy, becomes more of current importance in modern linguistic studies. Analysis of situation and its components demands determination of necessary and sufficient proposition participants to describe semantic structure of a complex word-formation unit. This work offers grounds to eight elements on the basis of cognitive activity model and scientific judgments well-founded by scientists who study propositional meaning of language units.
