Abstract: The general vocabulary is the most significant source of formation of the terms of Sakha residential and utility structures. They are applied in the terminology of construction. The paper reveals the basic ways of word formation in the Sakha construction vocabulary related to ethnic specifics of the language. Based on the collected data, lexical, grammatical, and structural characteristics, as well as word-formative ways of the Sakha construction vocabulary, have been found. The most productive word-formative ways of the construction vocabulary are: lexical-semantic, morphological, and lexical-syntactic. Construction vocabulary is well represented both in the Sakha literary language and dialects.

Keywords: the sakha language, the vocabulary of traditional material culture, ways of termformation, construction vocabulary
