Abstract: The paper considers the parody background of F. M. Dostoyevsky’s story «The village Stepanchikovo and its inhabitants», the main approaches of researches to the present problem are differentiated and the connection with the «Gogol world» is denominated in the framework of the analysis of the image of the character-scriptor.
