ArticleName: On the genre structure of Orok (Ool’ta) folklore Authors: Ozolinya Larisa Victorovna Institute of Philology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, Russian Federation In the section Study of folklore
Abstract: The paper attempts a tentative analysis of the Orok folklore genre structure understudied up to now. Possibly, this is due to the lack of representative collections of the Orok folklore materiala registered, if any, not in Orok but in Russian (some of the materials could be founde in the archives of L. I. Sem and Yu. I. Sem published just in 2011). The field materials to be published, including the materials colletcted by K. L. Novikova (25 text materials) and registered by the author (23 texts) and supplemented by T. I. Petrova (10 texts) and researcher from Japan J. Ikegami (27 texts translated into the Japanese language, including 4 texts supplied with the translation into English) may be used as a basis for creating a most representative volume of the Orok folklore heritage which would allow folklore specialists to evaluate its specificity and uniquenes for the language in question is one of the endandered ones.
