Abstract: The paper covers the problem of verbal aggression in Russian and American English languages and cultures. The situations triggering verbal aggression are discussed. The verbal aggression tactics in Russians’ and Americans’ speech behavior and the corresponding verbal markers of aggression are analyzed.
