Abstract: The paper compares Russian dialectal phraseological units of the three areas: the Kostroma region, the Republic of Komi and South-Eastern Siberia. A number of thematic areas are revealed which reflect the regional specificity: local toponymy and anthroponymy, conceptions of the natural world, every day life and crafts of the local population, as well as national demonology.
