Abstract: The paper is devoted to the problem of the life-creating searches in the literature of the 40-ies of the 20th century that were done by M. Zoshchenko and M. Prishvin in the autobiographical genre. Considering the life-creating strategies based on the material of the story «Before sunrise» and the novel «The Koshchei’s chain» comes to the thesis about different (frequently opposite) forms of incarnating «the creation of life»; these are the practical style of life of M. Zoshchenko (in the psychotherapeutic forms) and the natural-philosophical one of M. Prishvin (the motive of hunting). But the aim of this kind of life-creating strategies is the same: the education of a free creative personality of the new time.
