Abstract: The paper introduces new facts about the literary life and heritage of the "Golden Age of Russian literature". A poem written by Anton Dietrich, K.N. Batyushkov’s private doctor, poet and translator, that was dedicated to V.A. Zhoukovsky and found in the poet’s private library, is published for the first time. Also, the paper analyzes the general reception of T. Tasso’s image and heritage in Russia in connection with Batushkov’s image and Zhoukovsky’s perception of the Italian poet.
