Abstract: The L.M. Leonov’s dramatic fragment «The Old Women» (the unaccomplished work that deals with the 25th October of 1917) is studied in the article in the context of the entire Leonov’s literary heritage for the first time. The poetics’ elements which are typical for the «late» Leonov are shown.
