Abstract: The author of the article considered problems of intermedial interactions in different arts of music and literature are on a material of L.N. Tolstoy’s story «Kreitserova sonata». The accent is made on the heroes and composite structure. The conformity between the sonata form and composition of prosaic story is defined in the article. The importance of music in the writer’s life and in his aesthetic concepts is underlined.
