Abstract: There are the results of the kognitive-semantic analysis of the lexeme «aimless» are presented in the article. The author considers the meaning of the predicate in the network of the problem of the teleological estimation expression in Russian language. There are meanings of the lexeme which have not been fixed in explanatory dictionaries of the modern Russian are revealed.
