Abstract: The paper deals with the materials of Omsk Irtysh region on volochine ritual and songs. The main sources are the folklore archives of the city, published and unpublished ethnographic recordings from the personal archives of researchers. The distribution degree of the ritual in the region and the degree of its preservation in the passive memory of the performers are determined. The key moments of the volochine walk of the households are analyzed: composition of valicenti, the presence of "ranks", the time and day of walking, the relationship with the owners of the house. The author raises the problems of classification and systematization of volochine songs and presents a mini-index of volochine song subjects. The paper gives a brief characterization of the Irtysh texts. The main attention is paid to the songs, containing an enumeration of the saints and/or annual holidays. The first attempts of a comparative analysis of the Omsk materials with the original tradition are made.

Keywords: volochine songs, volochine ritual, belarusians, irtysh region, systematization of the texts
