ArticleName: Compositional elements of conflict episodes in student communication Authors: Z. V. Chernykh In the section Linguistics
Abstract: The paper analyses conflict episode composition on the material of spontaneous student speech. The main composition parts of conflict episode: the pre-conflict period, the start of the conflict, the open opposition, the end of conflict, the post-conflict period are considered. The specificity of every speech conflict stage: its functions, speech tactics, verbal and non-verbal means of language is revealed. The analysis has showed that conflict communication of students has a wide range of ways to prevent or stop a conflict but there is still the prevalence of destructive speech interaction. Due to the low level of speech culture and the lack of effective communication skills in the sociolinguistic group, the typical result of communication conflict is not an agreement of the parties of the conflict but various forms of postponing or interrupting the conflict to prevent it from further escalation. Keywords: speech conflict, speech conflict stages, speech tactics and strategies, student communication Bibliography: |
