Abstract: In this paper, the frame «Wedding», which is presented as a dictionary entry in the «Propositional-frame dictionary of the Teleut language», is used to describe a fragment of the Teleuts’ language picture of the world. The Teleuts are a small indigenous nation living in Siberia, whose population is now about 2500 people. 1500 of them live in the village of Bekovo in the Belovo raion of the Kemerovo oblast. The long-term memory of the Teleuts keeps the cultural traditions related to wedding ceremonies, which allows the description of these traditions for the younger Teleut generation, who speak Russian but seek to preserve the traditions of their ancestors, which is manifested, in particular, in the modern wedding ceremonies. The frames reflecting stereotyped situations are interlinked by the family resemblance principle, indicating their polysemy, which is why they are still popular in the everyday life of the Teleuts.
