Abstract: The article presents a comparative analysis of the plays «Gallipoli» by A. M. Rennikov and «Dni Turbinykh» by M. A. Bulgakov. These plays were written by Russian authors at the same period in the USSR and in exile. Referring to similar themes and problems they used similar models of constructing the plot and system of the characters. It shows the typological unity of the Russian literature of the 20th century. The revolution Bulgakov and Rennikov show differently, because Rennikov belongs to the irreconcilable part of the emigration, and Bulgakov created his play in order to present it in the USSR.
