Vsevolod Evgenyevich Bagno![]() (Born in 1951, in Engels, Saratov region). Bagno V. has been working at the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskij Dom) of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1978, since 2007 till 2017 - Director of the Institute, now - Head of the Department of Interrelations of Russian and Foreign Literature. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor at the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University. Vsevolod E. Bagno graduated from the Spanish department of the Faculty of Philology of Leningrad State University in 1974. In the same year, he entered the graduate school of IRL, where he studied under the guidance of academician M. P.Alekseev. In 1977 he defended his PhD thesis «Emilia Pardo Basan and Russian Literature in Spain». Since 1981 he has been a junior researcher at the Department of Interrelations of Russian and Foreign Literatures, since 1986 he has been a researcher. In 1994, he defended his doctoral thesis «The Russian and world fate of the myth of Don Quixote», in the same year he was appointed head of the Department of interrelations of Russian and Foreign literature. The author of eight collections of miniature texts: paradoxes, puns, aphorisms «Pod absurdinku» (2001-2015). |
