In 1985, she entered the graduate school of the Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, Philology and Philosophy of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences with a degree in «Turkic languages». In 1989 she defended her candidate’s thesis «Comparative constructions of the Altai language», in 2011 she was awarded the academic title of associate professor. Tybykova L.N. is a co-author and editor of significant works in Turkic linguistics such as «Thematic dictionary of the Northern dialects of the Altai language» (2004), «Morphemic dictionary of the Altai language» (2005), monographs «Complicated sentence in the Altai language» (2009), «Syntax of a complex sentence in the Altai language» (2013), «Altai Mythological Dictionary» (2017). Together with the Goethe University of Frankfurt, the Catalog of Ancient Turkic Runic Monuments of the Altai Mountains (2012) was released, which became a landmark event in Russian Turkology and in world runology. Tybykova L.N. directs course and diploma works of bachelors and masters, is the supervisor of graduate students, reviews and opposes candidate dissertations. Since 2009, member of the editorial board of the journal «Russian Turkology». She was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation, two Honorary diplomas of the State Assembly of El-Kurultai, an Honorary Diploma of the Government of the Republic of Altai, diplomas of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Republic of Altai, Gorno-Altai State University.
