Brief scientific biography

Shamina L. A. graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1976. She worked in the syntactic group of Professor M. I. Cheremisina. In 1985 she defended her candidate’s thesis on the topic «Temporary polypredicative constructions in the Tuvan language», and in 2004 — her doctoral dissertation «The system of bipredicative constructions with infinite verb forms in the Turkic languages of Southern Siberia». Lyudmila Alekseevna is the author of four monographs and two textbooks and more than 130 publications, in which various aspects of the grammatical structure of the Tuvan language and other languages of Siberia are studied in a comparative aspect, co-author of three collective monographs and one textbook.

L. A. Shamina is the author of more than 140 works, in which various aspects of the grammatical structure of the Tuvan language and other languages of Siberia are investigated in a comparative aspect; author of five personal monographs and three study guides, as well as co-author of five collective monographs. For her contribution to the study of the problems of Tuvan syntax and the training of scientific personnel in Tuvan State University, she was awarded the honorary title «Honorary Professor of Tuvan State University» (2012). In 2013, L. A. Shamina became a laureate of the award in scientific sphere, established by the head of the Republic of Tuva.
