Brief scientific biography

In 1973 N.I. Danilova graduated from the Department of Turkic Philology of the Eastern Faculty of the Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) State University. Since 1973 she has been working at the Institute for Humanitarian Research and Problems of Indigenous Peoples of the North of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1990 she defended her thesis based on the monograph «Pronouns in the Yakut language», in 2001 — a doctoral dissertation on the topic «Means of analytical communication in the Yakut language: functional-semantic aspect». N.I. Danilova is the author of more than 100 scientific publications, including 2 author’s and 4 collective monographs. She took part in compiling and publishing the «Big Explanatory Dictionary of the Yakut Language», «Spelling Dictionary of the Yakut Language», industry-specific school terminological dictionaries. Four graduate students defended their dissertations Under N.I. Danilova’s supervision.
