Abstract: A significant milestone for the scientific community was reached on September 30, 2024, marking the one hundredth anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Russian scientist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Maya Ivanovna Cheremisina. This article pays tribute to the memories and experiences shared by the author during the collaborative work, onferences, expeditions, and even ordinary events with Maya Ivanovna. Of particular note in the article is the proactive role of Maya Ivanovna in conducting a series of expeditions throughout Siberia and the Far East. These expeditions, under her expert guidance, yielded invaluable insights and information. As a result, numerous collections and monographs were published, both collective and authored, shedding light on the current state of the Altai languages in Siberia. Furthermore, the article acknowledges the contributions made by Maya Ivanovna and her students in developing the field of linguistics. Specifically, it mentions the work of E. I. Ubryatova, who asserted that Turkic languages utilize similar linguistic methods to establish connections between words and higher language units like phrases and sentences. Building upon this idea, Maya Ivanovna and her students expanded and refined the concept in their subsequent works. To enhance the understanding and appreciation of these remarkable achievements, the article provides a collection of photographs capturing moments from the field research, conferences, and other related events. This article commemorates the centennial of the birth of Maya Ivanovna, summarizing her impactful career and significant contributions to linguistics and scientific exploration.
