Abstract: This paper analyses an interaction between Selkup and Russian languages. Importance of distinguishing of special class of grammatical interference – grammatically redundant models (models with grammatical pleonasm) is proved in the present paper. Such models appear as a consequence of imitation of Russian forms and constructions. The main as-pect of studying of this class of grammatical interference phenomena is an investigation of their role in the process of convergent linguistic development which is typical for Siberian languages nowadays and in the past. All grammatical changes connected with inter-linguistic processes are caused by interaction of two systems of anal-ogy – inter-linguistic and intra-linguistic ones. But the roles of inter-linguistic analogy and of intra-linguistic one in the process of grammatical changes are different on the different stages of the development of bilingualism. New ways of expression of grammatical meanings by means of grammatical pleonasm appeared on the relatively early stages of Selkup-Russian bilingualism, when considerably monolingual surroundings had existed yet and Selkup language in usage had not been deeply interfered by Russian language and had not drawn with it together typologically. Intra-linguistic analogy prevails in such conditions in the process of grammatical changes. Grammatical pleonasm al-lowed to preserve traditional forms in innovational models. Because of that innovational models imitating Russian models simultaneously correspond to age-old system of adopting Selkup language. These models are typologically drawn together with Russian ones, but in the same time distinctly preserve historically traditional forms. These gram-matical models play important role in objective process of the convergent development of Selkup language in condi-tions of interaction with Russian language. Development of grammatical models with pleonasm was mainly caused exactly by the historical tradition of the Selkup linguistic norm and by pressure of its primordial system, i.e. by the mechanism of intra-linguistic analogy. Grammatical pleonasm allowed to preserve in innovational models traditional forms of Selkup language, not disturbing the communication needs of Selkup people.
