Abstract: The article is based on field materials the author analyzes the current existence of folk traditions In the article on the basis of new field materials the author analyzes the existence of non-fairy-tale genres of prose Tuvinians China at the present stage. We consider the cosmogonic myths of the origin of stars and constellations of the lunar eclipse, as well mythological characters. Particular attention is paid to the oral stories about the origin of instrumental tunes, played on a musical instrument shoor. It was established that for understanding the semantics of instrumental tunes should be considered that the verbal part which contained in the oral stories, has a great meaning. Verbal formulas which used to tunes on shoor often presented in a truncated form: it is predominantly monological speech of the main characters the story, where the main idea of the text. You can talk about the fact that the verbal component plays in the musical melody of shoor an important role, because it is the knowledge of the original verbal text motivates people to create appropriate music with the formulaic expressions that have sounded in the narrative texts. Existence of such stories of Tuvinians Russia and Mongolia not recorded and the names of certain melodies of shoor also not available. As the parent of folk traditions, non-fairy-tale prose of Tuvinians China, recorded mythological stories about the famous shamans, genealogical legends about the origin of some tribal groups of Tuvinians, historical legends about Amyr-Sanu, the stories about strongmen, the stories which contain the folk interpretation of toponym names. The above analysis of the texts shows that the oral prose of Tuvinians China largely preserved ancient Turkic stratum of folklore, which until now has authentic performance.
