Abstract: The article is devoted to the ritual tunes of Mansi, one of the Ob-Ugric peoples. Music notation of mansi ritual tunes recorded during expeditions with participation of the author (late 1980s – early 2000s) are the basis of this study. The article describes the approach and the results of the analysis of the temporal organiza-tion of tunes. Analytical algorithm is shown on example of one sample – shamanic song. Then, the conclu-sions received on the basis the analysis of the entire corpus of notations are presented. An association be-tween rhythmic units of the first level (rhythmic formula) and functional specificity of the song is defined, the types of forms (from single-line to the strophic) and also some correlation between the structure and the song’s genre are described.
