ArticleName: Note on Russian borrowings in the language of Evenki folklore Authors: Limorenko Yulia Viktorovna Institute of Philology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, Russian Federation In the section Study of folklore
Abstract: The paper deals with Russian loanwords entering the language of Evenki folklore. The data for the study are texts included in the volume «Ritual Poetry and Songs of Evenki» of the bilingual book series «Records of the Folklore of the Peoples of Siberia and the Far East», published as results of verified academic research. It is demonstrated that Evenki ritual texts and songs involve both old-borrowed Russian words, as well as modern ones. It is also shown that in the songs and descriptions of rituals and ceremonies borrowed words are more common than in blessings and incantations. Keywords: evenki folklore, loan words, evenki language, russian language, ritual folklore, folk songs Bibliography: |
