Abstract: The paper is devoted to identifying the features of the poetics and pragmatics of Altaians’ shamanic invocations. The context of these shamanistic texts recorded at the time of natural existence dates back to archaic religious beliefs Altai, animism and shamanism. Their peculiarity consists in their traditional archetypes, symbols, concepts, in the image-bearing poetic language. Altaian’s shamanic texts include tropes and figures of speech. The key poetic device is personification which is achieved through idealizing and exaggerating the images of deities, master spirits of the Middle World, the spirits of dead shaman ancestors, family patrons with whom contacts are established during a ceremony.
