Abstract: The paper is devoted to one of the controversial problems of not only Karachay-Balkarian but of all Turkic linguistics – to the expression of the subject in the phraseologized sentences. This issue has been more or less investigated on the basis of verbal and nominal sentences. As for the phraseologized constructions: they have not been studied yet. Revealed and described here are only some subject modifications represented by the genitive case.
