Abstract: The paper reveals the peculiarities of the linguistic representation of mental and psychological substyle of a public language personality based on the material of media discourse of L.M. Mlechin. The mental and psychological substyle is considered as one of the levels in the structure of the cognitive style of a personality, and is defined with account taken of the latter’s discourse activities.
