Abstract: The paper considers the peculiarities of representing the situation of visual and auditory perception in B. Pasternak's poetry, revealing the text- and sense-forming potential of the respective linguistic units and the commonness of their functioning in poetic texts. The analysis of the poems makes it possible to conclude that phrases with the semantics of visual and auditory perception are closely connected at formal and substantial level and their interaction plays an important role in the works of the author in question.
