Abstract: The paper considers the folk legends, biblical and book-stories about Moses and mythic water inhabitants called «Pharaohs» and traced back to the Pharaoh’s army that drowned in the Black (Red) Sea while chasing Moses during the exodus of Israelites from Egypt.
