Abstract: The paper analyzes the figurative meanings of the lexical-semantic group of «entomological» verbs in the Russian and the Italian language. Study is made of the figurative meanings expressing anthropomorphic characteristics. The comparative analysis makes it possible to identify the main features of the process of metaphorization in the semantic derivation of «entomological» verbs in both languages.

Keywords: cognitive linguistic, verbal metaphor, anthropomorphic metaphor, comparative analysis
