ArticleName: On pharyngalization in the dialects of the Tuvinian language Authors: Bavuu-Surun Mira Viktorovna Tuva State University, Kyzyl, Russian Federation In the section Linguistics
Abstract: The pharyngalization in the dialects and accents of Tuvinian language is the basic integrated feature that unites under the name «Tyva dyl» (translated as «Tuvinian language») not only the language of the Tuvinians who live in the Republic of Tyva but also the idioms of the small Tuvinian ethnic groups who live in Mongolia and China. The absence of pharyngalization is the differential feature only for the Tere-khol dialect. Its sporadic occurence in monosyllabic common Turkic words of the Chinese Tuvinians is a differential feature of this accent from other accents and dialects and should be regarded as an innovative phenomenon that occurred under the influence of the Kazakh language. Keywords: pharyngalization, dialect, accent, tuvinian language, integral and differential feature, pharyngalization in borrowings Bibliography: |
