Abstract: The paper is devoted to an insufficiently studied aspect of the liturgical reform of Patriarch Nikon – textual criticism of Nikon’s «correction» of the liturgical books. Using the Patriarch’s correction of the Trebnik (the Book of needs) as an example, the author considers the grammatical changes that have resulted in semantic transformations in the liturgical text.
