Abstract: In this article the plot structure of Dostoevsky's works is analized from the perspective of value phenomenology. Various forms of author's activity, his authority, hero's value initiative become the subject of investigation, which allows to reveal important sides of Dostoevsky's artistic world and to outline a typology of the author's positions and forms of a hero's presence.
