Abstract: The paper presents information on the international theoretical and practical conference that was held at the Altai State Pedagogical Academy on September 15–16th, 2011. It was the result of many years of fruitful collaboration between the philologists of the Altai State Pedagogical Academy and the Slavonic scholars of the Kazakhstan higher educational establishments.
