Abstract: The paper examines specific features of the lexical representation of semantic paradigms that form peripheral spheres of the semantic field of space reconstructed on the basis of the regional folklore texts of the 17th-18th centuries. Use is made of the semantic field method to study the history of forming the lexical system of the Russian language in Western Siberia.
