Abstract: Art features are considered of the Story about Roman tsesar Antoniy, one of editions of the Story about the tsarina and a lioness – the original Russian product borrow-ing a plot of the translated tale of chivalry about Otton and Olundа. The data giving reasons for an accessory of the Story about Antoniy to Petrovsky time are presented. It is shown that stated in the spirit of a «gallan» XVIII century the Story about Antoniy has reflected changes of tastes of the ordinary reader and made an important stage in a literary history of the source the Story about the tsarina and a lioness.
