Abstract: The paper suggests that the language thesaurus is a verbal net consisting of set collocations which can be viewed as intertextual phenomena. This conception is built on the philosophy of post-modernism, a number of studies in the sphere of humanities and sciences, as well as cognitive and communicative linguistics. The results of the comparative analysis of classical literature texts and dictionaries of associations and collocations provide the evidence that the thesaurus is almost completely intertextual by nature. Keywords: intertext, thesaurus, collocation Bibliography: |
