Abstract: The paper investigates the content and the genre pattern of the Alpine sketches in the structure of Apollon Maikov’s «Traveller’s Diary» of 1842–1843, which reflected the formation of the key as-pects of the poet’s world outlook and his aesthetic views. These fragments represent a synthesis of various approaches to the reflection of the impressions produced by encounters with reality. The Synthesis reveals the process developing in Maikov’s creative thinking and aimed at modeling a new way of reproducing life in art, at enriching the conventionally-poetic discourse with the potential of the objective prosaic sketch description and with analytical forms of non-fiction literature. Keywords: diary, author, world outlook, aesthetics, genre, style Bibliography: |
