Abstract: The article considers the problems of formal representation of the compositional semantic structure of Russian verbal nouns. On basis of semantic and syntactic analysis of derivatives and words they are derived from in the context of their propositional structure, the method of derivational modeling is elaborated for the representatives of different lexical-semantic groups.
