Abstract: This review contains an estimation of V.P. Vladimirtsev's studies which form a complex of historical and literary works devoted to Dostoevsky's reference to folk culture. Particular attention is paid to publishing «The Siberian Notebook». Introductory article and commentary in addition to this Dostoevsky’s book composed Vladimirtsev's posthumous monograph «Dostoevsky's Penal Servitude Notebook».
