Name: The collocation as a unit of the language experience

Abstract: The article discusses the notion of the language experience and proves that the collocation is the unit of this experience. Taking into consideration the most noted linguistic conceptions of the parameters of set collocations, we come to the conclusion that speech stereotypes must be acknowledged as the units of the language which the speaker needs to use every day. The usage of these collocations forms the basis of the language experience.
