Abstract: The article is devoted to less studied in Udmurt folkloristic genre of laments. The textual analyses of archive materials of field work (1929) of Udmurt Science Researcher Institute allows to classify all patterns of Laments in the manuscript, and to put problems of folk terms and type of language of Udmurt Laments.
