Abstract: This work is a review of Piotr Bizilli's aesthetic conceptions and ideas in studies of language and literature. Our subsequent analysis of Bizilli's individual points and general theses deals with the broader issues. Our focus specifically on his method not only in philology, but in cultural history and historiography. This article also demonstrates that this original method created an alternative paradigm in philology – between the philosophical critique and the formalism.
