Abstract: The paper summarizes the information on the 8th all-Russian scientific conference “Russian literature in modern cultural space: Childhood in literature and literature about childhood” (with international participation). The peculiarities, goals, and problems of studying children’s literature in recent decades are identified. The conference directions and related events are shown, and the results of studying themes, problems, and poetics of children’s literature by the Russian Literature Department of Tomsk State Pedagogical University and Russian Philology Community are reported. The paper also provides the list of reports with clarifications and the overview comment on breadth, diversity, and variability of approaches to studying children’s literature.
