Name: Gogol’s text in the works of Mikhail Shishkin

Abstract: The paper considers «Gogol’s text» in the works of Mikhail Shishkin. The focus is on the «skriptor plot» and on the type of a hero «of homo scribens» which form the basis of «Gogol’s text» in the works of Mikhail Shishkin. The author reveals the receptive scenario of actualization of «Gogol’s text» in M. Shishkin’s works (the story «The Lesson of Calligraphy», the novels «Venus Hair» and «Pismovnik»). One may follow the change in «homo scribens» image through the correlation with central components of Gogol’s «skriptor plot» – «metaphysical» and «clerical» letters, the idea of a letter as a service.
