ArticleName: I. Brodsky as the Reader Authors: Yu. A. Govorukhina Siberian Federal University, Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation In the section Study of literature
Abstract: The paper clarifies how I. Brodsky read and understood other authors’ texts. Serving as the research material for this paper are Brodsky’s essays that show his comprehension of other authors’ literary works. They make it possible to study the processes of sense generation. Brodsky’s essays represent the so-called «slow reading» (line-by-line, image-by-image, sound-by-sound). For Brodsky the process of understanding another's creative act is the comprehension of the author's intentions, artistic logic, generating logic of language, comprehension of another’s unique experience of questioning and hearing the answers. Keywords: i. brodsky, interpretation, slow reading, criticism, hermeneutics, phenomenology, sense generation Bibliography: |
