ArticleName: The initiation plot in the story «A Tale of One Travel» by Vadim Andreev Authors: Dashevskaya Olga Аnatolyevna Tomsk State University, Tomsk, Russian Federation In the section Study of literature
Abstract: The paper considers the autobiographical story «A Tale of One Travel» by Vadim Andreev, a Russian emigrant of the first wave whose creative work has not been studied yet. It is shown that in this story the initiation plot acquires axiological and structure-building significance. It is proved that the initiation plot is connected with the genre peculiarities of the story and with the author’s narration strategies. Interpretations are made of the levels of the plot realization, the logic of its development, the cultural codes and the relevant semantic aspects. It is revealed how the initiation plot represents the autobiographical myth of the young Russian first wave emigration writer about the destiny of his generation. The paper studies the development stages of the «paradigm archeoplot» in a concrete story and shows the metatextual sense of this plot in Vadim Andreev’s works as a whole. The chosen research aspect, the initiation plot, makes it possible to interpret the autobiographical myth as both a conceptual foundation of Andreev’s prose entirely and an important principle of the world modeling in the prose of «young writers» of the first wave of Russian emigration. Keywords: vadim andreev, the initiation plot, autobiographical prose, «young writers» of the first wave of russian emigration Bibliography: |
