Abstract: Odoevsky’s and Kireevsky’s stories deal with heroes which find their true mission in the illusory-mystic world. The ghosts which appeared as hallucinations and dreams (the sylph and the Music of the Sun) slightly opened a veil of true knowledge and broke down real life of heroes. Odoevsky’s story has a difficult composition which draws the line between hero’s letters and sylph’s monologue. Kireevsky’s story has a subtitle «a fairy tale». The narration and the description of the magic world are in the fairy style where dreams and reality are the same. In the both stories the illusory world is true because in it heroes learn the secret of supreme harmony, new kinds of arts, find their human hypostasis, love, preparing for perception of the true essence of being.
