Abstract: This paper examines the theory of dramatic motif unlike of motives in epos and lyrics. The author considers that the main peculiarity of dramatic motif is the mobility of boundaries of the tragic and comical stories. The stories in «Romeo and Juliet» and «A Midsummer Night’s Dream» by Shakespeare have similar structure but its pathos is opposite. The dramatic mimeses submits to law of the principal co-ordination (term of R. Avenarius). The physical and sychological worlds are parallel although its projections may cross in uncertain point.
